"The best-laid schemes o' mice an' men
Gang aft agley"

The rules being as concise and inclusive as possible, still leave gaps where a leader has to rely on their best judgement to make the best decision they can at that time, with tools that they have.  Such decisions are always to be based on the future wellbeing of Reincarnated and members as a whole.

" Everybody makes plans for the future,
but often to those plans do not work out. "

re: Guild Rules: General

We have to get along as a group to enjoy being part of it, therefore people who disrupt the overall harmony, flow and enjoyment of the Guild for others will, where possible, be tactfully taken aside and have the situation explained to them one time.  If the disruption cannot be resolved in this way membership will be withdrawn.

The following actions given proof beyond reasonable doubt will resolve in being removed from our membership:

  • Harassment: aggressive pressure or intimidation towards fellow players
  • Scamming & Phishing: defrauding fellow players.

And to keep public chats and forums enjoyable and pleasant for everyone:

  • Disputes involving members are to be resolved in whispers or a private party/ventrillo conversation between the persons involved.
  • Other issues are to be raised directly with an officer in whispers, message or a private party/ventrillo conversation.

re: Raid Rules

0

Raid rules are designed to allow you the most time possible to fight bosses with the best tools each individual can contribute, that is why we will only keep those of you that want to raid by these rules on the team.

December 3rd First Raid: CLICK THIS LINK as it details what "being prepared" for raiding will be.

To ensure optimal time spent raiding:

  •  Be on ventrillo, at the raid and ready to pull by 20:30 server time.
  •  Be ready to pull again as soon as possible after a wipe is called. Buff, Eat, Flask.
  •  Bring food, +250 stat flasks, stat potions and tomes of the clear mind.
  •  Keep your gear enchanted/gemmed.
  •  Be repaired!

The Raid Leader will focus on assignments, set-ups and tactics and will allow a chance to ask questions after speaking.  In depth explanations of boss mechanics may be found in short guides/videos linked in the Raid forum.

  •   Tactics will be updated up in the Raid forum.
  •   Tactics must be discussed in depth outside of raiding time.
  •   A brief outline of boss mechanics may be given for guild-wide first attempts.

Teamspeak 3:

  •   Test teamspeak outside of raids so it works in time for raids.
  •   Personal music must not be audible over teamspeak.

ABSENCES & ATTENDANCE ISSUES

Please click here, or scroll down, for all Absence & Attendance related information.

.

Raid invites will go up at least a week in advance:

  • Accept the invite as soon as possible.
  • If you have to decline an invite do so as soon as possible.
  • Report upcoming absences via the forum.

re: New Members

What is fair to one person is not fair to another, so we will not promise to be fair to every individual or to try to please everyone.  Instead decision making will:

  • Take into account individuals pro's and cons and,
  • Take into account the situation, it's pro's and cons.

The resulting decision will be made with the best interests of Reincarnated/the raid and its members as a whole.

Join the forum and visit for updates on issues and recent news, this is part of being considered an active member although whether and what you post is of course up to you.

You are very welcome to use the forums for other more social reasons.

Previous Guilds & Ex-Hardcore Raiders, your greatest challenge is how well you are prepared deal with the culture shock and the inevitable period of frustration at how different your new guild is, therefore it helps to:

  • Acknowledge you feel confused, tense or out of your comfort zone.
  • Make friends and get to know your guild mates so you can understand better your new environment and its differences.
  • Think about why such differences you encounter exist, if you require help in understanding PM your questions.
  • NEVER take out your frustration on your guild members.

We can offer support but your motivation for joining us, adjusting to our way and actions are your responsibility.

Friendships & Couples, we respect that people want to apply/play together, but from the moment you apply we take you as an individual not a package deal.

  •  We will not keep a bad raid/guild member to keep a good raid/guild member.

re: Absences & Attendance - For Raiders.

0

Absences will be weighed in terms of keeping raids flowing smoothly and minimising attendance related progress setbacks, therefore:

  • We will not guarantee holding raid spots for those returning from extended breaks (3 weeks plus).
  • We will not guarantee holding raid spots for consistent on and off holiday makers.
  • We will not guarantee holding raid spots for people that disappear for a two raids plus without notice.
  • We will not guarantee holding raid spots for consistent connection issues.
  • We cannot guarantee a retrial for returning players.

90% + Attendance For Full-Time Raiders

We will use our own judgement to decide if some absences count or not, because people and their circumstances are different and it's our volunteered 'job' to make sure we have regular raiders so we can raid smoothly.

For example, your attendance is between 90%-100% but you book a 2 week holiday then get back then break your foot a week later and spend raid night in ER.  In that case, we're going to use common sense and not hold it against you.

Work & Other Recurring Absences That Are Out Of Your Control.

It doesn't matter in the long run whether someone only attends 6/8 raids every month because they couldn't help it, or because they preferred to go do something else, it just matters we have a raid spot filled by someone who cannot be there when needed.

If anyone currently has a situation where they cannot make 1 or 2 raids a month because of work, send Tehkek/Sairy/Altiar a PM about it - the idea is we could maybe work around this for a couple of people but we want to make it clear we need advance notice and almost perfect attendance outside of this.

EMERGENCIES

"Serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action."  Guys if you have an actual emergency in most cases we won't hold it against you, but if you already have low attendance then please understand if you skip out on 1-2 raids a month, then take time on top of it we can't hold an empty seat because Mythic has a set 20man entry requirement.

Advance Absences

If you want to tell us about an upcoming absence, make a post on the forum or send a message on the forum.  To make sure we don't forget your absence if you whisper an officer they should ask you to post, or private message your dates.

If you take a night off, and don't tell us beforehand it counts as absence. It's not up to us to decide whether or not you really didn't have time to post your upcoming work/family commitments in advance, so we will not try to.

Low Attendance Warnings

We will not consistently remind people more than once about their attendance, we have to assume that if a person fails to show up regularly they probably don't view it as important so it's a waste of effort we could spend recruiting.

Benefit Of The Doubt

Because people don't always tell us "hey make me a social raider" yet keep taking numerous raids off - we have to just use our best judgement on that and just make these people social raiders to best fit the schedule they appear to be on.   Ideally we don't want this to drag on which is why we are going to act faster on low attendance, without multiple warning.

Updates of the spreadsheet we use to track absences etc will be shared monthly, outside of generic Work/Sick tags we will not share your reasons for absence unless you tell us to - such absences will be marked with a ***** to indicate a reason was given but it is private.
